Itinerary
Day 01
You will be greeted warmly in Colombo and make sure to settle in at your lodging.
Day 02
On your second day of the tour, you will be taken to Kandy. Visit the Temple of the Tooth and learn about the religious importance of the nation. Know the culture by witnessing the traditional dance show. Spend your night in Kandy.
Day 03
Depart from Kandy and proceed to Mahiyangana. There you can observe the clay-making process, and try ‘Pan’ weaving in a Village House. Enjoy a traditional rice and curry lunch which offers you an unforgettable cultural experience. After that, go for a trek to Rathna Ella and Kaluwa Wetuna Ella. This part of your trip makes your tour more interesting. You can observe the serene beauty of nature.
Day 04
Spend the whole day at Dambana Vedda Village, where you follow activities with the guidance of Veddas. Go on a Bush walk through the jungle and explore the mountain caves with the local Veddas. Immerse yourself in the culture by visiting a typical Vedda residence and enjoy a BBQ Dinner Amid the Roaring campfire while observing the Vedda Dance.
Day 05
Visit Gal Oya National Park, which is known for its rich biodiversity. You can have your lunch in the National Park while enjoying the beauty of nature. In the afternoon go for a thrilling jeep safari to make your trip memorable.
Day 06
The leader of the Vedda community will guide you on a walk through the jungles of his ancestors. You can explore historical hunting areas, listen to their native songs and immerse yourself in folk tales of hunters while travelling.
Day 07
Take a morning boat safari in Gal Oya National Park to enjoy and experience the serene beauty of the surroundings. You can get cooking experience at their typical local place and have dinner there. After that, you will be moved to Ella.
Day 08
Climb Little Adam’s Peak as soon as the sun comes up. This tourist spot is one of the most visited spots in Ella. Then, proceed to the Nine Arches Bridge. It is well-known for its architectural marvel. It offers breathtaking views of the lush greenery and rolling hills. After the exploration, you will be taken to Weligama.
Day 09
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Weligama before you head to the airport.
